It's time for the Pine River Area Food Shelf Annual Fall Fundraiser! Join us at the Pine River American Legion, Post 613 on Sunday, October 21st, 2018 from 11 AM to 1 PM for a hot lunch of soups and sweets. The soups will be donated by local restaurants. Our generous donors this year are the A-Pine Restaurant, Bites Grill & Bar, Cozy Cottage Cafe, Corner Store Restaurant & Gun Shop, and Jr's No. 19 BBQ. The sweets will be baked with care and brought in by our loyal volunteers.
There will be a silent auction with donations from local businesses and area craftspeople. All proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit the Pine River Area Food Shelf. The hope is to raise enough funds to feed the people of the community over the winter. The Pine River Area Food Shelf serves around 400 community members each month. Winters can be especially tough due to layoffs and additional energy expenses. Every dollar can make a difference!
The prices this year are $8 for adults, $5 for children aged 10 and under, and $25 maximum cost per family. Bring the kids! There's plenty to go around!
