FAMILY CENTER GOVERNING BOARD

The Family Center Board of Directors is a group of people who are concerned about the welfare of children and families in the Pine River-Backus area. Click here to view our most recent annual report.

Current Board Members:

 

Family Center Board Members
Most of our members are parents – some have young children, some have grown children and grandchildren. A few Board members have affiliations with other community organizations. Others become involved after participating in Family Center activities.

 

When Do We Meet?
The Board normally meets on the third Monday of each month, throughout the year. Meetings are held in the Family Center meeting room beginning at 4pm and usually last from 1 – 2 hours. Meetings are informal and enjoyable.

Commitment
Family Center Board Members:

  • Guide the services and activities of the Family Center.

  • Make decisions about the annual budget and funding priorities.

  • Help out with fundraising activities and Family Center activities as needed.

  • Attend monthly meetings, training opportunities and annual retreat.

Expectations
Family Center Board members share a common concern for children. We also:

  • Believe in the vision, mission, and goals of the Family Center

  • Promote the organizations within the community, state, and social spheres

  • Bring a spirit of collaboration and resource sharing to monthly meetings

  • Remain flexible and creative in governing Family Center operation.
