Community Meals: Nourishing Our Neighbors

We believe everyone deserves a warm, nourishing meal. That’s why we provide delicious, chef made meals—free of charge—to anyone who would like one.

Meals are for pick-up only at 4 PM on:
📍 Mondays at Riverview Church, Pine River
📍 Thursdays at Pine Mountaineer Senior Center, Backus

 

This program serves as a way to provide nourishing hot meals to hundreds in our community twice a week. Each meal is thoughtfully planned, carefully shopped for, and expertly prepared in a professional kitchen by Chef Brian Chaffee. Our dedicated volunteers then pack and distribute the meals with care.

Prepared Meals Grant Information:

 

Community Meals is supported in part by the Prepared Meals grant program. The Pine River-Backus Family Center is the grant recipient, with Leslie Bouchonville, Executive Director, serving as the organization’s leadership. Grant oversight and management are provided by Leslie Bouchonville and Chelsea Bixby.
