Justice Bus

The Justice Bus is coming to Pine River again on Tuesday, March 21st, 2023. This will provide free legal help to those aged 60 or more. We hope to have the bus return every other month during Food Shelf hours to save a trip for those who need both.

CommUnity Meals

A local collaborative effort has been put together to provide a free weekly meal for anyone who is hungry. Meals are pick-up only, each Monday at the Riverview Church in Pine River or each Thursday at the Backus Pine Mountaineer Senior Center.  Serving time is 4:00pm. until gone.

Volunteers Needed

The Pine River Area Food Shelf is looking for able-bodied volunteers to help with food distribution twice weekly. Volunteers alternate so no one works every food shelf day. If you or someone you know is interested, please give us a call!

COVID-19 & Food Shelf

The food shelf is open during its regular hours. We are now allowing self-shopping.  We value our community health.  If you are not feeling well, we are happy to shop for you and have it ready for pickup.  Call LuAnn at 218-587-4292.  Thank you for your help!


Parenting Chats

Respectful and hopeful parenting with usable skills and discussion that provide limits in a loving way for all ages. These chats will be every Tuesday beginning March 7th at the PR-B School from 6pm to 7:30. Call Nicki to register at 218-606-2816. Child care available upon request.

Governor Tim Walz has proclaimed April 2023 as Child Abuse Prevention Month. Learn 5 actions you can take against child abuse, make a craft with your child, or print them a pinwheel to color.
