Hidden Jewels is a Family Center thrift store. Our mission is to enhance the lives of every family/individual by providing affordable clothing and household items at the time of need, and to provide a fun work/volunteer atmosphere for adults/youth in our community. Any funds that are earned above the cost of operating the program are invested back in to the programs and services which the Family Center provides. In 2010;

• Over 38 community volunteers provided 1325 hours of service to the store. The value of that service to the Family Center is $26,831.
• Recorded donations totaled 244 boxes and 393 bags. 63 individuals shared their name for the donation book.
• Hidden Jewels provided $450 worth of clothing and household items at no cost to families in need.
• 4 CEP Workers provided 1599 hours of service totaling $11,992.
• Hidden Jewels provided 25 families with clothing, bedding and household items that were in need due to an emergency, personal need or a fire.

 

	What will you find? Goodness, you won’t believe what I found. And I did my shopping right here in town. That little thrift store is called Hidden Jewels, And I got myself a box full of tools. Why just last week, John told me about the place. I went to check it out when I had time to waste. I discovered the store accepts donations. It’s all non-profit to help in family organizations. So I brought in some things I didn’t need anymore. And this nice young lady took them in the door. I purchased a sweater, and several books to read. They seem to have everything that I need. Now I’ll invite you to also go and see. You won’t be disappointed; I know you’d agree. It’s nice, clean, and a wonderful little shop. Located in Pine River in the old shopping block.
